Daylight was coming to an end and the sky was lighting up with magnificent colors. I sent up the drone 380 feet and captured this panorama. November 5, 2021
Throughout the night fog had settled in the valleys. From a higher perspective and shortly after sunrise, I could see over the fog and view the magnificent scene of the sun behind the clouds. So, the scene went from being foggy in the valleys to beautiful when viewed from a vantage point above the fog.
Daylight was giving way to the night and the sun slowly set behind the mountains. Sometimes I cannot always see the sun set but with my drone, I was able to get it high enough above the trees to capture this image. I hope you enjoy it.
The blueness rightfully claims its place in the Blue Ridge Mountains, as the name suggests. In the center of the image is Brevard, NC. Running along the right side of the image is Hwy. 64.
This sunrise photo is from Thursday, 7.9.2021. Light fog was covering Brevard and the surrounding area. The fog was not very thick at ground level, but it did obscure the mountains in the distance. In this image, Brevard is located just to the left of center.
Brevard, NC is about two miles toward the center of the photo. We had received 10 - 12 inches of snow on Saturday and Sunday. This photo was taken on Sunday afternoon at 5:13 PM, EST.
